Basic OOP concepts
- A class is a definition of a new type of data (e.g. a Point). An object is a specific instantiation of a class: e.g. a specific Point like (2,2) or (5,3)
- Objects can have instance variables (data), and methods (chunks of code)
What's the point?
- Modeling (the world) with objects
- Solving problems with objects
